Aerosmith, The Beach Boys to Headline Milwaukee’s 45th Annual Summerfest

Summerfest, often called “The Big Gig”, is an annual Milwaukee, Wisconsin festival that was dubbed “The World’s Largest Music Festival” by the Guinness World Records back in 1999. Held every summer from about a week before July 4 until a few days after, Summerfest is jam packed full of music, food, shopping and good times in the warm summer sun. Summerfest has 11 different stages that showcase a variety of musical acts and for just a small admission charge you can see every band or musician that is playing that day.

Summerfest 2012 runs from June 27th to July 8th, but it will be closed on Monday, July 2. This year’s Summerfest is certain to be just as exciting as previous years, if not more so, when a wide variety of popular bands and musicians take to the stages for your listening pleasure. Some of the musicians that will playing this year include: Rascal Flatts, Kool & the Gang, Gov’t Mule, Death Cab For Cutie, Ziggy Marley, Kelly Clarkson, Train, Lady Antebellum, ZZ Top, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Aerosmith, The Beach Boys 50th Anniversary Tour and many, many more.

Jack White, The Roots, Bon Iver, Beck to Headline The 2012 Sasquatch! Music Festival

Since 2002, The Sasquatch! Music Festival has been a place where music fans can experience the best musicians of indie rock every May. Past big name acts include Death Cab For Cutie, Modest Mouse, M.I.A., R.E.M, and Micheal Franti & Spearhead. This year’s Sasquatch! Music Festival will be certain to live up to its reputation of showcasing the biggest names of indie rock with performers like Jack White, The Roots, Bon Iver, Beck, Beirut, Ben Howard, Imelda May, Mogwai, The Shins, Girl Talk, and Tenacious D, plus a great variety of the other hot names in indie music.

The Sasquatch! Music Festival is held at The Gorge in George, Washington from May 25th to 28th and it is certain to be 4 days full of pure indie music excitement that will be a weekend to remember for all who attend. Although there are no single day tickets, a four day admission pass to The Sasquatch! Music Festival includes camping and parking for an entire weekend full of musical fun.

Death Cab for Cutie Announce Tour Dates with Backing Orchestra

After the release of their 2011 album, Codes and Keys, Death Cab for Cutie will head out on a 2012 North American tour starting April 10th at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in Denver, Colorado.

In total, the tour will take them on a 22-date trek across the United States and Canada. What makes this tour so special is that they’ll be accompanied by a 8-piece backing orchestra, the Magik*Magik Orchestra, who provided the string arrangements on Codes and Keys. Read more

Death Cab For Cutie & Empire of the Sun Confirmed for Treasure Island 2011

The Treasure Island Music Festival just announced the lineup to their 2011 edition yesterday and it features headlining acts Empire of the Sun and Death Cab For Cutie.

Empire of the Sun will headline the first night, Saturday, October 15th while Death Cab For Cutie will close out the festival on Sunday, October 16th. Read more
