Listen to the Latest From Neil Young and Crazy Horse

Neil Young, one of our favorites over here at the 5gig.com office, has supposedly been working on new material with long-time collaborator Crazy Horse and, thanks to Young himself, the rumors have been confirmed as he’s released video to a “jam session” of sorts on his official website (check out link below).

As we’re glad it’s official that Neil Young and Crazy Horse have a new album in the works, now the big question is when will it see the light of day? Take a look at the 37-minute preview which includes audio from tracks such as “Fuckin’ Up” and “Cortez The Killer.” The video shows the studio, production equipment, mixer, drums, guitars, sound equipment, etc., but, unfortunately, contains no live video footage of the musicians actually jamming.

According to a report from Thrasher’s Wheat, the recording sessions have lead to enough material for one complete album, while another is currently in the works.

Crazy Horse, consisting of Billy Talbot and Ralph Molina, and Neil Young have been teaming up off and on since the 60s, touring together and creating hits such as “Cinnamon Girl,” “Down by the River,” “Cowgirl in the Sand,” and albums such as 1990′s Ragged Glory.

Neil Young toured last Spring with a handful of dates across the United States, but has since been relatively inactive, presumably working on this new album. Sign up for Neil Young Gig Alerts to be the first to find when he officially announces tour dates and when the new album’s release date is confirmed.
