Bruce Springsteen’s New Album ‘Wrecking Ball’ Due Out March 6th
Bruce Springsteen fans can start gearing up for new material from The Boss, as his forthcoming album Wrecking Ball will be released March 6th. Wrecking Ball represents Springsteen‘s 17th album and the first single “We Take Care of Our Own” was released today (preview below).
This time around, he’ll not only be joined by the E Street Band but also a handful of collaborating musicians, including Tom Morello and Matt Chamberlain (formerly of Pearl Jam). His manager, Jon Landau, told Rolling Stone that Wrecking Ball is somewhat an experimental album while still maintaining that trademark Springsteen sound we’ve all come to know and love, saying the album is a “big-picture piece of work. It’s a rock record that combines elements of both Bruce’s classic sound and his Seeger Sessions experience, with new textures and styles…”
Although no official North American dates are scheduled as of now, he’s already confirmed a European stadium tour for the summer and it’s widely expected that he’ll sandwich that with a Spring and Fall U.S. tour. He’s also slated to be the keynote speaker March 15th at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas.
