Billy Joel Joins Paul McCartney at Yankee Stadium
Paul McCartney played back-to-back sold-out shows at Yankee Stadium this past weekend and the latter featured a 40-song, 2 hour and 45 minute marathon set.
During the set, the 69 year old McCartney played classics from both his solo career and his time with The Beatles.
According to the Music Mix, show highlights included McCartney “[paying] tribute to two of his dearly departed bandmates. He strummed “Something” on a ukulele George Harrison had given him and eulogized John Lennon with the conversational, séance-like “Here Today.”
Once again, Billy Joel joined him onstage for a rendition of “I Saw Her Standing There”, which can be seen below.
Paul McCartney currently has a few more stadium shows scheduled in Detroit, Chicago, and Cincinnati. Sign up for Paul McCartney Gig Alerts to find out when he schedules dates in your area.
