Originally formed in 1968 by members Jon Anderson and Chris Squire, Yes is a legendary band that plays a blend of progressive, artistic rock. They released 5 albums between the years 1969 and 1972, including the groundbreaking album Closer to the Edge which contained the title track that took up an entire side of the album. The song is around 18 minutes long and it is a surreal mixture of progressive and psychedelic rock sounds. After the release of this album, Yes went on to receive worldwide commercial success and so began their climb to rock stardom. In total, Yes has released 21 albums that produced hundreds of songs that they play in a never ending tour schedule full of concert dates around the world. Yes is an innovative band that changed the face of rock music with their unique blend of music and artistic visions.
