Formed in 2002 out of Denver, CO, The Fray is an alternative/pop rock band that first received major success with the 2005 release of their debut album, How To Save A Life. The debut single off this album, "Over My Head (Cable Car) became a top ten hit on U.S. album charts, but it was their second single "How To Save A Life" that won them worldwide recognition. The Fray's second album, The Fray was released in 2008 and debuted at number one on the Billboard Charts and it was even nominated for the 2010 Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album. In February of 2012, The Fray will release their 3rd album, Scars and Stories.
The piano is the lead instrument of The Fray which has lead to the band being compared to bands like Coldplay and Keane, but they create their own special blend of music that is adored by fans around the world. Following the success of their first album, The Fray played in concert to their adoring fans on a major tour and more recently, they played Arkansas' popular Festival On The Border in 2011.
