Based out of California, Switchfoot is an alternative Christian rock metal band comprised of members Jon and Tim Foreman, Chad Butler, Jerome Fontamillas and Drew Shirley. Since first becoming a band back in 1996, Switchfoot has released a total of 8 albums including 1999's New Way To Be Human and 2003's The Beautiful Letdown. While Switchfoot creates music that every metal fan can love, many of their songs have Christian undertones which has won them the praise of the Christian music community by winning 11 GMA Dove Awards. Switchfoot not only creates music that sells out in concert tour after tour, but they also take the time to do charity work with Habitat for Humanity and Invisible Children. Switchfoot is a band who not only creates inspiring rock music, but they are a band who loves to dedicate time to humanitarian causes.
