South Pacific is a classic Broadway musical that combines elements of the 1947 award winning book by James A. Michener titled Tales of the South Pacific set to the music of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. South Pacific is a musical that tells the tales of 2 romances during World War II, one between a U.S. naval base nurse and a French plantation owner, and the second between a U.S. Lieutenant and a young Asian woman. South Pacific has won numerous awards that include 10 Tony Awards and 1 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and it is considered to be one of the greatest musicals ever written.

Since first hitting the Broadway stage back in 1949, South Pacific has been produced 9 times and includes both a film and television version. Recently, South Pacific went on a 2011-2112 London revival and UK tour so that a new generation of theater lovers could experience the excitement of this classic play coming to life on the concert stage.
