Radiohead

alternative, alternative rock, rock I'm a fan

Radiohead formed while at school in Oxfordshire, England, during the mid eighties. Since that time they have gone on to be a multi-award winning band with a loyal fan-base to match their critical acclaim. It wasn't until the success of the 1992 single 'Creep', that Radiohead gained a wide public audience. Their performances on tour, highlighted by Thom Yorke's mesmerizing vocal displays, only served to underline the fact a new force had arrived on the UK music scene. Two albums later, 'OK Computer' propelled the band into the alternative pop and rock stratosphere. The following world tour, 'Against Demons', sealed their place as an international success. Not content with being pigeonholed, the band took off on different directions with their next projects, 'Kid A' and 'Amnesiac', presenting a far more challenging and minimalist feel. While some felt the direction to be commercially flawed, the band maintained a huge support among loyal fans while gaining new ones in equal measure. They remained high on the critics agenda too, winning more awards and keeping true to the heart of the bands wish to keep things creatively interesting and original. Their 2007 album, 'Rainbows'. was available for download off the band's website at whatever price the customer deemed appropriate. Radiohead have kept up with marketing and musical trends and continue to be innovators, while simultaneously cementing themselves as a successful and unique force in modern music.

Thom Yorke's Atoms for Peace to Close Out European Tour with Three London Gigs!

We don't like to throw the word “supergroup” around, but that's what they've been labelled. Atoms For Peace, which seems more like a Thom Yorke-driven project, sounds an awful lot like his 2006 solo album The Eraser mixed with the most experimental and electronic Radiohead sounds of th...
