Kid Rock is a genre crossing musician who has been creating a musical mixture of hip hop, southern/country rock and metal since the 1990 release of his album Grits Sandwiches For Breakfast. Kid Rock did not receive much attention with this album, or the two that followed, but in 1998 he finally began his climb to rock and roll stardom with the release of his Devil Without a Cause album. Since the release of Devil Without a Cause, Kid Rock went on to release 7 more albums that produced hit singles like "Wasting Time" and "God Only Knows while earning him 5 Grammy Award nominations and 19 awards that include 2 American Music Awards and 1 CMT Music Award. Throughout his career, Kid Rock has created controversy through both his music and personal life, both which have contributed to making him the enormously popular rock star he is today.

Kid Rock is an artist who not only spends time in the studio recording albums, but he is an artist who has managed to find great success while playing in concert through an extensive touring schedule that included the 2008 Rock N Rebel Tour with the legendary band Lynyrd Skynyrd.
