J. Cole

hip-hop, rap, underground hip-hop I'm a fan

German born rapper J. Cole has been heating up the hip hop scene since before the September 2011 release of his debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story. Influenced by hip hop stars like Tupac and Canibus, J. Cole got his start through his relentless persuit of getting Jay-Z to listen to a a sample beat that he had created especially for the hip hop mogul. Although J. Cole was initially ignored by Jay-Z, he went on to grab his attention and even appeared on Jay-Z's 2009 album The Blueprint3 on the track "A Star is Born", which was his first exposure to fame in the hip hop music world. With the release of "Cole World: The Sideline Story", J. Cole has finally received the hip hop acclaims he worked so hard to gain. He has performed in concert and at festivals like London's Wireless Festival 2011, and was recently the official opening act for Rhianna's Loud Tour. Here is the music video for the 2nd single off Cole World: The Sideline Story featuring Trey Songz, "Can't Get Enough". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0L4lA6bS2E&ob=av3e
