George Strait has had a career that has spanned the decades, and even in the 2011, he is still releasing music that pleases the ears of country music fans.

The release of Unwound began a country music career for George Strait that includes many top 10 hits including his first number one song "Fool Hearted Memory". All together, George Strait has a total of 31 number hits under his belt, and he has won various CMA awards both for his performances, and his records, including the top selling record of the 80's, "Does Ft. Worth Ever Cross Your Mind".

Not only does George Strait thrive in the studio, but he also performs like no other country singer when he's been on tour, and he still plays well in concert even today. In the 1990's, he was a huge touring act and even had his own music festival called the George Strait Country Music Festival which included him as the headliner along with various up and coming country stars as the opening bands.
