Diplo was born on November 10, 1978 in Tupelo, MS, but he currently calls Philadelphia, PA home. Diplo's music fuses together genres like hip hop, electro house, dubstep, and moombahton to create a danceable sound that can be heard on his extensive collection of albums, EPs, singles, and mixes. Diplo first gained popularity in the world of electronic music when he teamed up to create music with the sometimes controversial musician M. I. A. Since then Diplo has gone on to work with musicians like Snoop Dogg, Shakira, Robin, Bruno Mars, and No Doubt.
