Born on January 17, 1984 on a cold winter's evening Dumfries, Scotland, Calvin Harris is a DJ, record producer and singer/songwriter. Harris' early days were centered around a love of sports, mainly football, but that soon changed when he began to focus more of his time on music and less on sports. From the start of his relationship with music, Harris was drawn to electronic music. By the age of 19, Harris was creating creatively infused demos that he hoped would bring him the attention of the electronic music community. Three years later at the year of 21, Harris released the 12" club singles "Da Bongos" and "Brighter Days", and soon these songs became staple dance songs in clubs around the world. Since then, Harris has gone onto achieve enormous success. He has released a total of three studio albums including 2009's Ready For The Weekend and 2012's 18 Months, and has been nominated for or won a slew of music awards including a 2012 MTV Video Music Award.
