Born in Mississippi on September 16, 1925, legendary blues rock guitarist and singer-songwriter B. B. King truly personifies a genre of music that truly describes the struggle of the down and out people of America. B. B. King has the prestige of being in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, was named number 3 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of 100 greatest guitarists of all time and his style of music has influenced an array of artists that include rock superstars Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eric Clapton.
Although age and health conditions have recently kept B. B. King from performing in concert, he still occasionally performs on stage in clubs around the country that include the various nationwide locations of his famed B. B. King's Blues Clubs. Over the course of B. B. King's musical career he has played on tour and at festivals like the well known Chicago Blues Festival, and even if B. B. King is now limited in his ability to play music, his legacy lives on in the music and hearts of many musicians of today.
