Formed in 2003 out of Manheim, Pennsylvania, August Burns Red is a band that is comprised of members Jake Luhrs, JB Brubaker, Brent Rambler, Dustin Davidson and Matt Greiner. August Burns Red released their first studio album in 2005 entitled Thrill Seeker, and since then they have gone on to release 3 more albums, 2006's Messengers, 2009's Constellations and 2011's Leveler. August Burns Red's music is a blend of metalcore, progressive metal and thrash metal and although band members have made it quite well known that they are devoutly religious, they claim their hard rocking sound should not be labeled as Christian music.

Since the start of their career, August Burns Red has played in concert while on tour as both a headlining act and as a part of festivals and tours with other similar bands as seen when they played 2012's No Sleep Til Festival and 2011's Vans Warped Tour.
