Many female artists that go on tour will make a public declaration about the influence that Aretha has had on their careers. They may even sing a song from Ms. Franklin's catalog to show their R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Aretha was known for concert performances with live bands and great backup singers. Franklin has been inducted into the Rocking Roll Hall of Fame. She has done crossover hits with people like George Michael and Keith Richards.
